5. China is extremely intelligent, sophisticated and well informed.

They knew ahead of time that Nancy would be going to Taiwan.

They knew that they could not stop Nancy and that they were not going to start WWIII over this issue.
Not yet I should say.

They will be 21st century superpowers and are sending a message to that effect.
And laying the ground work for their future invasion of Taiwan.

They know that the US does respond to fear tactics and are following in the footsteps of Putin's successful threats to back off the West when he invaded Ukraine.
