TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police were called out to the polling location at Larchmont Elementary School on Tuesday after a man threatened to shoot voting machines.

According to a poll worker who witnessed the event, Robert Hughes entered the polling location where he began shouting and said negative things about the Democratic Party. He then threatened to shoot up the voting machines.

Ohio Attorney General Frank LaRose complimented the Lucas County Board of Elections on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

"Really proud of the entire team at the Lucas County Board of Elections and their quick action to keep voters safe," LaRose said. "Violence will never be tolerated, and it will never stop us from giving every Ohioan their chance to be heard."

Hughes was charged with inducing panic and threatening violence. He was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on Wednesday morning and is held on bond at $50,000.
Hughes is due back in court next week.

Let's say this fool followed through on his violent threat. He'd go into the polling place and begin firing his assault weapon destroying the voting machines. by the time he was finished, he'd probably have been shot by law enforcement, (unless he was in Uvalde, TX).

As far as people's behavior this fall, we'll see. An episode like this should be a warning to every polling place.
