Republicans are used to being declared the winner of elections where they draw the second most votes. Neither Kent nor Herrera-Beutler is any bargain, as far as I'm concerned, but Herrera-Beutler did vote to impeach the former guy the second time around. So at least we won't have to hear the popular media panting breathlessly about what an unstoppable political juggernaut an endorsement from the former guy is, and how any Republican who crosses him loses.
