Anne Heche is in a coma.

Actress Anne Heche is in a coma following a fiery crash in Mar Vista on Friday.

A friend had previously said Monday that the actress was in stable condition, but her representative later said she was in a coma. TMZ reported she is “fighting for her life.”

“Shortly after the accident, Anne Heche became unconscious, slipping into a coma and is in critical condition,” a spokesperson said. “She had significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.”

Heche is potentially facing a slew of charges, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Those charges could range from DUI, speeding and/or hit-and-run.

and/or passengers. Typically speeding or driving under the influence. Hitting poles, going off cliffs, crashing into stores and homes, going into lakes, etc.

Granted, I live in Los Angeles.

One time I drove from the library in Westwood to Mid Wilshire and the traffic was so bad I was having a conversation with two guys in a UPS truck next to me.

It once took me 40 minutes. I make sure I don't drive during the marathon or any public street events around Hollywood because traffic diverts and there are no options for me to go around unless I drive up through the hills waaaaaay out of my way.

She deliberately drove into two different homes, so this wasn't a matter of losing control of the car. She was not in her right mind.

She's a decent actress, but seems to have difficulty with reality. Well, reality bites.
