ISTR that the president can declassify any documents so the pasty pustule will simply claim that's what he did to all he removed from the White House files. Ergo, no foul, no harm.

(7,864 posts)Kash Patel, a Trump loyalist and former Defense Department appointee, made a claim in May on the right-wing website Breitbart that Trump had previously declassified the material that was at Mar-a-Lago. Trump had designated Patel as a representative with the National Archives.

I guess the question is then, are there any limitations on what information the president can declassify.
Actually this may get more interesting as, if the DOJ is not pursuing the possession of classified documents thing, what are they after?
