(22,037 posts)I remember all of those promotions and I fell for all of them.
Sometime in my mid-teens I gave up on the sugary cereals. But when I was in 7th grade, I was hyper and all the sugar didn't help. I had a regular appointment for a half-hour detention in Ms. Malinowski's algebra class.
My favorites were Cap'n Crunch, Post Raisin Bran and Rice Krispies with added sugar (of course). My all-time favorite though was Graham Crackers with milk and honey poured over the crackers. As they absorb the milk they become mushy and combined with the honey you get a delicious sugar rush.
My sister still has some of the toys they used to include in the cereal boxes. That promotion had to end because some parents were too stupid to make sure their kids didn't eat the toys.

The child nutrition part of ACA tries to move the next generation toward better health and less medical care required.
