3. That's been their mode of operation for many years.

When they win the governorship or other state offices, they expand the power of such roles. Then, when they lose, they immediately restrict the same power they themselves enjoyed for years before the democrat replaces them. It's been done in many states for many many years.

They believe they hold absolute power and when democrats are in charge, we deserved none.
