I love the smell of justice in the morning.

Justice with a cup of coffee. Good to the Last Drop.

Garland, the institutionalist, is going to indict Trump, most likely more than once. This is just the beginning for Trump, his life changed big time yesterday. He is going to be in court rooms a lot over the next couple of years.

Reality hit the Trump voters in the face yesterday. It must be shocking for them. Years living in denial, fantasy land, and all of the sudden your savior has his home raided. Some will lose their minds, some will remain in denial for the rest of their lives, some will recognize they were stupid following Trump.

The question I have about the raid on Trumps home is this. The DOJ/FBI had to have solid proof they would find evidence. How did they get that proof? Did they have an informant? Do they have phone taps in place? Recently it was reported Trumps lawyers warned Trump not to talk to people who are being investigated. Was the FBI listening to Trump and his merry band of traitors talking on their phones. These are not smart people.

Trump keeping documents at his home is proof of his narcissism. He believes he is smarter than everybody else. He believes he can get away with everything. Textbook narcissist. It will be his downfall.

4. One of the reports I read said FBI agents were ar Mar-a-lago in June

They found classified documents (which he was supposed to have returned some time ago)
They ordered that he padlock the room the classified documents were in.

So he is already in violation of the law two times over - the same law he screamed Hillary should be locked up for. Forest Gump's got this covered "Stupid is as stupid does"

EDIT:
https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/08/politics/mar-a-lago-search-warrant-fbi-donald-trump/index.html
...
In early June, a handful of investigators made a rare visit to the property seeking more information about potentially classified material from Trump's time in the White House that had been taken to Florida. The four investigators, including Jay Bratt, the chief of the counterintelligence and export control section at the Justice Department, sat down with two of Trump's attorneys, Bobb and Evan Corcoran, according to a source present for the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Trump stopped by and greeted the investigators near a dining room. After he left, without answering any questions, the investigators asked the attorneys if they could see where Trump was storing the documents. The attorneys took the investigators to the basement room where the boxes of materials were being stored, and the investigators looked around the room before eventually leaving, according to the source.

A second source said that Trump came in to say hi and made small talk but left while the attorneys spoke with investigators. The source said some of the documents shown to investigators had top secret markings.
Five days later, on June 8, Trump's attorneys received a letter from investigators asking them to further secure the room where the documents were stored. Aides subsequently added a padlock to the room.
In April and May, aides to Trump at Mar-a-Lago were interviewed by the FBI as part of the probe into the handling of presidential records, according to a source familiar with the matter.

How did they know that? How did they know Trump did not destroy those documents last week, two days ago. Somehow they knew those documents were still there.

Trump had ample time, Lord knows, to ship the documents back. Not sure what you are getting at. The whole world knew that Trump had top secret documents at Mar-el-Loco.

What would have happened had he simply returned the documents? Most likely nothing would have happened.

How did the DOJ know he did not do this. They had to have solid proof they were still there. the risk was too great. Can you imagine what would happen if they found nothing?

what all were missing to the DOJ & FBI. Or a 3-letter agency let them know he had high level intel docs. That's my theory.

Somebody is talking, I'm sure. I'm guessing that documents are missing, likely highly classified documents. They've been going through the stuff he returned and I'll bet they found documents missing.

They don't get a search warrant for an EX-PRESIDENT because he didn't return everything the first time he was asked, people. They get a federal search warrant signed off by the top echelon of the country's law enforcement, in other words, Garland himself (this is a HUGE-ASS FUCKING DEAL) because they are convinced there is evidence of a serious crime.

Now, I heard that "documents were seized."

This is not about the 15 boxes of documents. This is much bigger than even that.

I believe your last sentence is very important. It's not just that he wouldn't secure the documents when asked to, it's about whatever he has in his possession and what he is doing with them/using them for.

This is just going to get more and more interesting as we go forward, and I, for one, can't wait to see him finally get his comeuppance!

(mostly done online) and the admin staff would regularly have us round up our diaries/worksheeets to be boxed and sent to the NARA warehouse here in Philly.

We were doing our diaries in what I sometimes dub "green meenies" (bound notebooks) -

-or-

We were basically read the riot act about loss and/or destruction of government property (including documents) and it truly became an ordeal for any staff if they had a laptop stolen while on the road (and especially if stolen from a GOV).
