of great events was planned and timed to occur in sequence three months prior to the midterm elections?
I know this is not necessarily in case, but if Ive were writing a script I would have Joe Manchin as the Lynchpin and least likely to be the Deus ex machina of the process. This timing reminded me of that terrific scene in the Hunt for Red October when the Russian captain played by Sean Connery is navigating the trenches deep beneath the ocean and does not follow the maps in the way that the crew wants him to but test the skills and the ability to follow orders of his crew by using his own timing and instincts. It is entirely possible that the group hired to choreograph the January 6 hearings has an analog in the White House and Congress who is scheming most cleverly to grotesquely undermine the Republicans. How many films or mystery novels have we watched or read wherein the individual who is presumed to be the villain throughout the narrative turns out to be the key to the heroism and success of the good guys? And you know what, even if this isnt true its a great story!
I will cling to the belief that this has been an orchestrated choreographed event until proven otherwise. Oh, and one more thing: so much for Democrats in disarray.

(7,849 posts)1. Some things had to happen before September. DOJ knew this. Hence, the fundamental choreography.
2. Unpredicted events: Alex Jones messages. Photo of Trump documents in toilet.
3. The many investigations at the same time: Steve Bannon for example. Someone had to be first. National Security documents were highest priority. Hence we are back to choreography but not necessarily sedated choreography.

(5,844 posts)... that fresh evidence, possibly urgent must have come to light. So this timing might not have been deliberate at all. There is speculation that somebody spilled some beans. In other words, someone high up is talking. Meadows?

(50,955 posts)have 15 boxes of classified documents since February. Those 15 boxes already satisfy the statute that people keep pointing to today saying if you take documents you can't hold office.
This is about some specific and very significant set of documents or something that was intentionally held back in February. And they had to have specific information about whatever it is.
That being said, much as everyone is talking about it, no one has any idea what they are going after here.

We do know they took evidence with them.
Legal experts are also saying that this is based on recent information, so someone on the inside may be talking and has knowledge of crimes.

(50,955 posts)something significant in the safe.
Also, tfg very specifically put the subject of that safe out there in the airwaves. It struck me, as most of his statements do, as a veiled threat. It makes me wonder if there was compromat about others in that safe and his statement is a demand that those others protect him.

(38,002 posts)There might have been some ugliness with the former president's Secret Service detail if the old man had been on the premises when the FBI came to call.
Also, I told someone in real life yesterday, this was no "raid". I bet that orange bastard was fully informed that federal agents were coming to retrieve federal property.
I have no theories beyond those two.

(412 posts)Presumably they documented what was there. Then there was this Golf Tournament with some Saudis. If information was passed during that event it may have spurred action.
I do find it curious that the AQ guy got a hellfire through his window when the golf thing was going on. I wonder whose phone buzzed when that happened?
