By popular demand: I'm far left.. And Joe Biden is my guy

I apologize.. This is a few weeks behind. I sent this reply to a thread. I got a reply.. After a reply. Many replies.. "This needs to be an OP"

So I'll say it before I repost.. I'm left.. Far left.. So left I make Bernie Sanders look like a centrist.. And I mean all of this. I mean it because President Biden rocks for fighting for human rights. And I mean it because if they would fucking listen, the "far left" stands with Joe Biden because he stands with us.

By us.. ALL OF US. I hope you've all been paying attention.. POC.. Immigrants.. LGBTQ's.. Our president stands with us. Yes. OUR president.

So.. This is your repost. Let's stand with him as he stands with us all.. And do you wanna help him make this real? GET THE FUCK OUT AND VOTE IN THE MIDTERMS! Give him a House and Senate, damnit!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

This isn't something I speak up about much here, because I know I'm further to the left than a lot of people here... most people here?... everyone here? I mean, hell, I make Bernie look like a centrist. https://www.politicalcompass.org/chart?ec=-7.13&soc=-7.69

I'll admit, going into 2020, Biden was not initially my guy. I started with Elizabeth Warren. Switched to Bernie when she dropped out. Switched to Biden when, well, it was obvious Biden was the nominee. Biden vs Drumpf? I'd vote for Biden 1,000,000 times out of a 1,000,000, no question. That despite the fact he was my third choice for the 2020 nomination. And, sure, leading up to November 2020, I thought "Couldn't it be Elizabeth? Couldn't it be Bernie?"

Well, Biden won, of course. And here it is, July of 2022. And right now, I have only two "regrets" when it comes to having Joe Biden as president:

1. Kyrsten Sinema throwing banana peels in front of Joe Biden.
2. Joe Manchin throwing banana peels in front of Joe Biden.

I cannot claim I agree 100% with President Biden. But guess what? I don't agree with 100% with my dad. I don't agree 100% with my best friends. I didn't agree with 100% with my late girlfriend. When it comes to the major shit, though, I fully agree with Joe Biden, and absolutely feel he is doing everything he can to fight for those things.

All my life, the two things that have mattered to me the most in a presidential candidate have been "do they have a good heart?" and "do they wholeheartedly believe in human rights and equality?" After the 4 year nightmare of having no president, that became even more important to me.

Meanwhile, going back to those two questions... Over the last 18 months, President Biden has routinely answered those questions loudly and clearly: Yes. And yes.

I figure once you put a good person with a good heart in the White House, the rest of the shit can work itself out. Budgets will work themselves out. Figuring out how to fund this or that program will figure itself out. We'll figure out how much to give to NASA or the military or whatever. But the most important thing is having a leader who makes it clear they stand with everyone, stand for everyone, that human rights and equality are for everyone, and that they have the best intentions at heart.

Joe Biden absolutely has fought for us. He has done everything one person can do to undo the damage of the last 4 years. I have no doubt that if given a House and Senate that will fight for him instead of with him, he could do so much more.

So, instead of bashing Biden, or calling him out. It's time for us to go to the polls and help him keep the House, and give him a Senate where Sinema and Manchin can no longer derail his work.

We have a good man in the White House. And one who can do fucking amazing things if everyone would just let him.

And once again, this is a member of DU's far-left saying this. I absolutely believe that, and stand with President Biden. Why? Because he's left no doubt that he stands with me.

I have my gripes with JB, especially some old stuff that Id like to see him undo, but he’s doing a good job.

If only he could make progress on student loans and cannabis, I’d be even happier. Maybe he’s saving them for 2023!

This is what it's all about. Biden does stand for us, all of us who believe in democracy, justice, equality and the rule of law. And he is a good man, one who has started to dilute the poison injected into the body politic by the Former Guy and his zombie followers.

As you said: he stands for us; now it's time we stand for him. Is he perfect? Nope. Is he old? Yup. Does he want the best for the country and the people who live in it? Absolutely.

This is a man who has accomplished an incredible amount in a short time while pushing against the headwinds of opposition and nasty politics. Think of what he can do if those barriers are removed and he has what he needs to fulfill the promise of Build Back Better?

We can do that in November with our faith, enthusiasm and vote.

Let's get it done. For everyone.

But his heart is in the right place and he means wells and does his best.. And that is all that matters to me.

He's spent 19 months as president speaking up and fighting for democracy and human rights.. That's why we need him now. That's why we need him in 2024. And that's why we need to give him a Congress and Senate that works with him, not against him.

I am far left who also makes Bernie look like a centrist (which he technically is on the world politics stage) and while I am very against Capitalism being a literal Socialist, these are very scary times and we MUST unite to defeat the rise of fascism & white supremacy.
I don't agree with Biden on many things but I am damn sure supporting, volunteering, and phone banking for whomever is the Dem nominee. The stench of evil that has come over this country, the amount of hate & vitriol must be combatted in any and all ways possible.

Fight like hell & get out the vote!!

Perhaps at some point, that'll all work itself out. Perhaps we find our way to a better system, a better way of life....

What I do know is so many of us are in the battle of our lives. Democracy is under attack. Human rights are in the crosshairs. All of it thanks to one lunatic fringe domestic terrorist group. Thank goodness there is a man in the White House right now fighting to save this country and being a proud ally for so many people being targeted.

That's what amazes me so much about Joe Biden. I've heard a lot of lip service in my nearly 50 years. But when he speaks about all of us being targeted by Cult 45, I have no doubt he in sincere.

We need to give him the midterms. We need him back in 2024. He fights for us, and we need to fight for him.

Too much good sense, not enough irrationality and hypocrisy.

Absolutely the way to make good things happen in the world we have is to elect good people with high ideals and great but genuinely achievable goals.

to save the soul of America, which is exactly what I wanted from him while everyone waited to see if he would run. We already had a score of good people promising to run on national healthcare while our democracy was in grave danger. We needed a statesman.

Well, we have a 'Roosevelt' in Joe Biden. Give him a good house majority and some more Senators and watch the magic happen. Don't do to Biden what was done to Obama who gave us a life-saving health care plan and then was basically abandoned by Democrats in 10 and in 14. The result was catastrophic for our party and our Republic. Joseph Robinette Biden may end up being the greatest president in my lifetime if we support him fully. Let's roll...as Pres. Obama said fired up and ready to go...
