Blackmail documents are likely among the useful classified items trump took to Mar-a-lago.
His established use of federal law enforcement for nefarious activities probably generated info on his alleged supporters and enemies whom he needs. to contain and/or control, who by force of exposure perhaps had to do what he, trump, wanted.
These “classified documents “ that he refused to give back to the American people could only be of immediate value to him if they were actionable in a personal way, ie: forcing people to bend to his will. Why else would he take this risk? He may, as some suggest, really believed he is above the law. But that’s not rationally irrational for even for him.
Lots of speculation about the documents and what they are. But the very nature of trump and trumpism screams incrimination of people he wants to use or control. Just watch the panicked Republican officials and their whacked, lunatic statements calling for violence and threats against Atty Gen Garland and the FBI. They are scared of what those documents contain and now are in the possession of the FBI.
Of note too should be the lack of statements from more normal mainstream type republicans. I suspect they are giggling in their breakfast cereal this morning. It’s fun to watch assholes get their comeuppance. Always watch who panics…that tells you something about who you should pay attention to.
