Question about the mar-a-lago layout.

I just saw a helicopter view of the main building. My question: Are those private homes next to the main structure? Or is it part of the golfcourse?

Mar a Lago is currently closed for summer. No visitors. And the homes on property belong to the complex. tfg lives in one of them. Lots of things close down in summer. Its uncomfortably hot.

In all my house hunting, back in the day, I have never seen one house with a basement. I know of one in the area because they built it while I was here and can attest to how they did it. It was part of a development that needed at least ten feet of fill dirt to lift the property out of a wetland. Massive job.

And that's the only basement I know of, because we have a water table that can rise during times of heavy rains.

The other buildings on the property are guest accommodations. The buildings north of the parking lot on the property are private residences (the row of houses that includes the one with the white roof).

The nearest golf course is 1.5 miles north (The Everglades).

Trumps Palm Beach course is 4 miles west, just south of the WPB International Airport.


Edit; According to their website, there is a small "Chip and Putt golf course" on the property, but that is little more than a larger version of Putt Putt golf, and the sat shot seems to show only one golf green, so at the very most it's a small practice area. Hardly a "course".

15. No prob. Lots of people seem to think Mar-A-Lago is a Country Club. It's not.

It's registered as a Beach & Tennis Club if I'm not mistaken, and Trumpy's original agreement with the city was that he would not live there for longer than 2 or 3 weeks at a time. So that's yet another scam he has working.

The story goes that the only reason he changed it from a private residence into a private club is because he couldn't afford the place, so making it a club changed it to a business that he could charge membership fees.
