The Republican's aim is to kill democracy

Here's a top headline from today's WAPO:

"GOP criticizes FBI search of Trump residence, vows to investigate Justice Dept."

Who can doubt that today's Republican Party is a threat to our freedoms, our Constitution and our country? Were they ever again to gain full control of the federal government in 2024, America will be over.

Almost everyone here on DU knows this. So here's my question: What are we doing about it?

Yeah, I know, GOTV. Yes, that's critical. But it ain't enough.

Am I talking about Civil War? I hope not. But it's sure as hell what our Domestic Enemies have in mind if we win.

I don't have the answers as to what we should do once this year's elections, and those of 2024 are over. But we really need to do some planning. Anyone who thinks that "Republican concentration camps" are an unfounded fear, is a fool. Replace the word "Republican" with "Fascist," or "Nazi," and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

and I haven't a clue what do do about it. I guess the next move will be from our Domestic Enemies. Maybe they will grab a state of two and succeed which wouldn't be a bad thing

they are doing everything they can, by any means they can, to bring it about.

We also know what we want and what we believe in. Yet, our only action/plan to further our beliefs seems to be GOTV.

We are looking at a possible Civil War in every sense of the word. Our Domestic Enemies want it and are preparing for it.

And we are doing ...? What's wrong with us? Why do we seem frozen in the face of the greatest threat to ever threaten our county, our freedoms, our well-being, and our very existence?

I don't know the answer to those questions. But I'm pretty sure I can predict what our "doing nothing" will lead to.

That's what I do. In fact, I just got home from voting at my precinct's polling place.

But we're dealing with people who have no values, no principles, and play by no rules. They will cheat, steal and lie their way to power.

I never fail to vote. But I know it's not sufficient when dealing with Republicans, who are our domestic enemies. Far more is needed to ensure that they don't end up ruling us all. -- Sure wish I had the answer of how to overcome them and bury their agenda which is nothing more than holding and abusing power.

who would not otherwise vote to go and vote for the Democrats on the ballot. Just one. More is better, of course, but if every Democratic voter brought just one voter who would not otherwise vote, we could not lose.

That's the answer. In reality, though, it will depend on a percentage of Democratic voters who manage to get multiple people who would not otherwise vote to do so. That's because not every Democratic voter will bother to bring others to the polling place with them.

All you have to do is look at what happened in Kansas with the vote on that abortion measure. That's how it works.

Now, it's up to all of us to do our parts and help others also recruit voters.

It's simple, really. However, we have to actually do it, and there's the rub, it seems.

Their intent is to break our system of government. They will use this incident as an opportunity to further their goal.
