I agree with Ben Shapiro this far: it would show remarkably bad judgment for DoJ to execute this warrant unless it had very solid evidence and legal theory, and some sort of exigency, particularly because it had less intrusive measures available.

1. Garland is not the kind of guy to take any unnecessary action.

Gray is a Trump appointee.
For those two to be on board with this, and for a judge to authorize this action, there must have been a very, very good reason.
Time will tell what that reason was.
