Outraged by the MAL search, Florida legislator Anthony Sabatini asserts "it's time for us in the Florida Legislature to call an emergency legislative session and amend our laws regarding federal agencies"...Florida "should sever all ties with DOJ immediately" and "any FBI agent conducting law enforcement function outside the purview of our State should be arrested on sight."
What is he talking about?

(11,738 posts)That is what Mr. Sabatini is demonstrating.
The FBI has jurisdiction in ANY STATE where a FEDERAL CRIME may be occurring or have occurred. Local LE agencies certainly have some right not to cooperate with Federal Agencies, but Mr. Sabatini might want to rethink his stance next time Florida has a major, messy case that requires the expertise of the premier domestic law enforcement agency in the Country.

(16,079 posts)To be fair you would have to include the voters who elect imbeciles like Sabatini!
Those very same voters elected Rick Scott as their governor and then to the US Senate...after a company he was head of ripped them off, along with other Americans!
It's not just the politicians who make the state look stupid...it's also the voters!!!

You have to figure out stupid ideas and then verbalize them. That's no picnic.
