Is there some unwritten rule that United States Representatives have to be low IQ to run for office?
McCarthy publicly threatened the Attorney General of the United States because Garland did his job, without having any details surrounding the search warrant, relative to what they were searching for or why. He knew Trump essentially stole a lot of documents when he left office and hasn't yet returned them. Some judge somewhere looked at the facts and decided it was time to quit negotiating and get the damn documents.

(14,077 posts)... subpoena Garland. That makes me wonder if congressional subpoenas suddenly become meaningful and enforceable when republicans take control.
I know Garland won't do it, but I wish he would challenge every congressional subpoena from the republicans up to the Supreme Court, and have another argument in reserve so if the Supreme Court rules against him, he just issues a new challenge.
