COVID is no joke

Quadrouple-vaccinated at COVID-19 STILL kicked my ass. Headache, muscle ache, chest congestion, stuffy head. I think I'm on the mend but exhausted due to lack of sleep. I can only imagine what it was like for the first wave of patients. I hope this bastard never hits me again.

If this were 2019, people would be locked up in their houses, afraid to open the door. Now after all the crap, its normal.

180,000 a year....makes driving a car seem absolutely healthful.

Hope you are feeling better and never get it again.

was like a mild cold. But after 10 days when I was OK'd to go around I ended up with such severe joint pain! I was in a place with really steep hills and I knew it would be challenging but this was wild. Every step I took hurt. After about 2-3 weeks it went away, (after I got home and started taking all sorts of anti-inflammatory supplements)

So I was shocked too. I'm glad to hear you have turned the corner. At least the next time, if it happens should be easier. At least that is what is supposed to happen.

Doctors said that the vaccine will help some but my immune system is still weak. Even with the vaccine, the thing still has a 50/50 of killing me.

🤬MS!

9. I'm a rebounder.

I took Paxlovid and it helped the initial phase a great deal I believe. Took me 12 days to test negative and four days after that, I rebounded.

I don’t think I would have survived if I’d been hit with the initial virus. My case is considered mild and I am grateful, but just the length of time feeling sick is hard to handle. Visited the doctor today and she’s okay with my progress. She said the average recovery time she is seeing is a full four weeks.

I was very careful but still got it. I really am starting to despise the people who take it so casually.

Hope you feel better soon.

10. COVID day 10 here. Vaxxed and boosted, but the first few days were pretty miserable.

Low grade fever, sore throat and coughing till my ribs hurt. Just a general feeling of being unwell and incredible fatigue.

Feeling much better. Temp normal since Friday, sore throat gone and just an occasional cough. A little tired, but not as much as before.

Still tested positive today, but apparently that's not unusual due to dead virus still hanging out in nasal passages.

got Covid on July 4th. He had every symptom you've mentioned and more. Two weeks of misery. The brain fog and fatigue lingered after he finally tested negative. Glad to hear you're starting to feel better, Randy, but don't be surprised if it takes 2 or 3 weeks more to feel completely back to normal. Unvaccinated people are playing with fire!

14. I've nearly punched a hole through every bit of wood around (for luck) since as careful as I've

been, all the precautions and vaccines that I've taken--as a primary HCW-- that I've not yet (knowingly) been infected is admittedly some incredible luck for which I show humility every damned day.

This morning as I rushed out at 5AM to take my pup on her long early morning hike, I forgot my mosquito repellent. The first thing I thought was how ironic it would be if I'd escaped COVID all this time only to be infected with WNV.

Stay healthy all. Stay alert. Your continued good health is worth it.

Get well soon, RandySF
