It's not just Palm Beach. All up and down both coasts of Florida you will find residences and condo's empty during the summer. They don't call them "Snowbirds" for nothing down here.

Hundreds of thousands of well-to-do folks have places in Florida as well as up north.

That was the whole point of having a place in Palm Beach if you were/are rich. You spend the summers up north - The Hamptons, Greenwich, Martha's Vineyard, Newport, RI., and you spent the winter down here.

It does get very hot and humid in Florida in the summer, but the rest of us commoners just deal with it.

At least in southern Florida, at times, our summer has been cooler than northern states.

My wife and I have lived in NY, NC, and FL. We like FL weather.
