Anne Heche not expected to survive fiery crash into home, her family says

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/anne-heche-not-expected-survive-family-says-rcna42152

Actor Anne Heche suffered an "anoxic" brain injury and is not expected to survive, her spokesperson said Thursday, nearly a week after she crashed her car into a home in Los Angeles.

"It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is being kept on life support to determine if any are viable," the spokesperson said in a statement on behalf of her friends and family.

On Monday, Heche, 53, was in a coma and in “extreme” condition, her representative said. The spokesperson said the actor was “unconscious, slipping into a coma” following the crash.

Some don't and some do want to hurt others, emotionally and/or physically. Noting though that, whether her stories were true or false, Heche hurt her mother and sister by spreading them nationally for years. Pretty selfish.

I'm sorry for her but very glad only she was hurt. And that she's already effectively RIP.

My nephew's friend was killed a few weeks ago when he was driving home from work late in the evening. It's a dual carriageway road I drive every day, but this time someone had stolen a car and raced another car on the wrong side of the road. Owen's friend didn't even have a chance to hit the brakes because they hit him going over a rise and he had no chance to avoid it. Am I a terrible person for wishing the person who hit his car had died as well instead of being a drain on the taxpayer dollar because they survived and am now a vegetable? Am I a terrible person for not caring if they live or die? I feel sorry for their family, and I feel sorry for that actress's family, but I don't feel sorry for them at all.

If she'd ploughed through an intersection and killed my entire family, I can guarantee you I'd go a fair bit beyond not caring, and I'd be hoping she suffered agonising pain for every last minute of her miserable life.

I'd agree that drug addiction is a disease, so let's move to the part that really bothers me.

She only killed herself. So, if the person who ploughed through an intersection and killed approx 5 people had come through a minute later when there wasn't any cross traffic and not killed anyone, we should have sympathy for them? Why? It's not like they cared if they hurt anyone else or not. It's just dumb luck that Anne Hirsch didn't kill anyone. I feel very sorry for her family, but I don't feel sorry for her. So many people have drug addictions and don't do what she did...

Raped by her preacher father at an early age repeatedly who transmitted herpes to her before contracting and dying of AIDS, leaving the family destitute, lost her brother to probable suicide (drove into a tree) the same year after her father's death, and dealt with an intensely angry homophobic mother leading to a lifelong estrangement, lost her sister to brain cancer in 2006...

And with a history of drug and alcohol abuse. Such a difficult life and one which I believe she was desperate to end.

That can happen. One way to find out if she responded to it, is if the brakes burned out as she attempted to stop the car.

It has happened before.

Because, picking a residential community to go full Mario Andretti, even with the intent to commit suicide, is whack.
