A reminder to Republicans:

This epigram from Sir John Harington (c. 1550 -1612): "Treason doth never prosper. What's the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason." was one of your watchwords back in the Cold War era, when the Bircher wing of your Party used it (thanks to John A. Stormer's bit of deathless prose "None Dare Call it Treason" ) to castigate "elites" you claimed were commie sympathizers.

How strangely what goes around doth come around, eh?

"Treason doth never prosper. What's the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason."

Still your watchword, but for a whole different reason.

sourly,
Bright
