Our NATO allies and others as well must be wondering to what extent this episode might affect their own security. Who saw what, and when? China? Russia? Saudi Arabia? North Korea? Russian sources are cavalierly noting that they have the classified documents in their possession and are reviewing and assessing their content. Scenario-wise, who would have ever surmised that the revelation of Trump's brazen crimes and subsequent FBI seizure of the documents in question would be perceived as a positive development in terms of his standing -- "A targeted victim of the Deep State" -- with his followers? The MAGA-Q mindset and what it deems to be acceptable AND unacceptable is not only irrational but dangerous as well.
