14. Never had a lot of use for her

until she did the show on prison cell cuisine. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen, not to mention remarkably informative on how to make tasty food with minimal equipment and only commissary crap to choose from. Her obvious affection for most of her fellow prisoners came through loud and clear.

Prison did change her and it was for the better. Unfortunately, it seems to have decreased her appeal to the aspirational suburban yuppies, so her show was canceled. I wish PBS would bring her back.

I'd gotten home from work and was trying to wind down so I could get some sleep and flipped on the set and there it was. I doubt it will be on YouTube. I also doubt it will ever be repeated on air. I'm afraid you had to be there.
