I’ve always thought that - I can see him standing in the room screaming “I declare these disclassified”

Biden reclassified all of those documents three minutes after he took office, by the same trick. We have equal evidence for both changes.

OOOOPs!

A president can sit on his butt in the oval office, declare all current national secrets declassified and "poof" everything is declassified?

That's not how any bureaucracy worked, ever. That's how a King giving orders does things. That's not how a democracy does things.

A democratic bureaucracy has to record and sort and mark and log it all. There has to be a record of declassifying it matched up to the initial document that classified it originally. AND the original classifying agency has to.be notified, and if no one classified it, the agency where it was created has to be notified.

Yeah, maybe a president could declassify all those papers, but there should be a ton of paperwork available indicating it was declassified.

Trump can't just load it into a van and say a prayer over it to declassfy the documents.

11. Declassification of documents does not transfer ownership of the documents to Trump.

Do you think these people actually think they are telling the truth. Makes me wonder what they tell their families, etc. It has got to be depressing to lie on a daily basis.
