1. East Coast always comes in first, usually shortly after the polls close at 8pm EST.

Alaska and Hawaii. We always know the winner before the polls close, so presidential elections are kind of a bust for us. The state elections are really contentious this year, though, so I imagine there will be a pretty good turnout.

Polls close at 7:30.
Absentee votes will be announced first
Be very cautious with those figures - they do not always reflect election day figures.
Large counties will be updated every 15 minutes; mid-size counties every half hour, and small counties every hour.
If it's too close to call, you'll have a long wait - provisional ballots will not be counted for 2 weeks. Sorry about that.
