(268,998 posts)although the lilac ones are my favorites. Havent seen the bulbs around recently.
If I thought about the cut flowers bought over my life to date, glads and anthuriums would win by a distance. 😀.

(22,037 posts)I was a teenager on the cusp of voting for the first time during the Watergate catastrophe.
Ms. Wine-Banks had a critical interview that I remember because I'm a nerd.
"...she was responsible for cross-examining President of the United States Richard Nixon's secretary Rose Mary Woods about the 18+1⁄2 minute gap on the Watergate tapes..."
It was one of the most bald-faced lies ever until Trump!
Ms. Wine-Banks is a treasure. She's also a consummate professional.
"In 1977, President Jimmy Carter nominated her to serve as General Counsel of the Army, and she subsequently held that post until 1980."
"In 1987, she became the executive director of the American Bar Association, the first woman to hold that position."
She also wears the coolest pins!
