(26,044 posts)a better response would be weve never had a president who stole top secret nuclear documents that might have put our whole country at risk before.

(6,625 posts)Best response is "We've never had a President who flagrantly disregarded the law before."
The other one I like is when they say "If they can do this to a former President, they can do it to you." They forget to add "if you break the law." And that's the way it should be: No one is above the law.

(455 posts)In my opinion, it would be just as unprecedented for the FBI to leave this kind of document -- or really any document subject to the Presidential Records Act -- in the hands of a non-official person without appropriate clearance. This is, quite literally, their job.

(7,288 posts)happened is patently false because it is not the president. Marda Loopy is not a home, its a business facility at best but not a home such as we live in. He wasnt searched while it was in office, it was searched as a private citizen. Its privileges expired on January 20, 2021.

(5,412 posts)from ex-president supporters. Supporters who want to pretend he is still president, and mar-a-lago the southern White House.
Trump is a private citizen in possession of sensitive government documents, but no longer holding them.
The raid was justified.
MAGA tears . . . isn't it great?

(38,568 posts)so DOJ still hasn't searched a President's home.
It searched the former president's home. He's just your Average Joe now.
He really needs to get used to it.
If we're lucky, he'll end up being our average inmate.
