Covid lab leak theory is dead. The virus came from a Wuhan market: Report

My colleagues and I published the most detailed studies of the earliest events in the COVID-19 pandemic last month in the journal Science.

Together, these papers paint a coherent evidence-based picture of what took place in the city of Wuhan during the latter part of 2019.

The take-home message is the COVID pandemic probably did begin where the first cases were detected – at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market.

At the same time this lays to rest the idea that the virus escaped from a laboratory.

Huanan market was the pandemic epicentre.

4. Still the Chinese government's obfuscation

led to the early issues related to the response to the pandemic. Their early whistleblower got arrested and jailed for trying to tell the world the seriousness of it.

5. One theory is that Wuhan lab techs were selling contaminated animals to the market.

1. Impoverished people will sell whatever they can to make some money.

2. The Wuhan Lab was studying bats and covid.

3. And the Wuhan Lab was reported to have very lax lab protocols.

The report does not invalidate this theory.

Sounds like Chinese propaganda working overtime.
