A Department of Justice filing this morning indicates that the other search warrant signed by Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on August 5 is not related to the search of Mar-a-Lago.

(3,963 posts)How can the cremated remains of an old woman cause TEN men to struggle to carry her coffin?
That, coupled with her extremely odd gravesite location and the weird Saudi golf tournament at the same place, would have been the perfect time to give the Saudis what they bought for $2B.

Blackmail, maybe?

(11,033 posts)I'm not sure why the OP thinks that means this has anything to do with Trump.
The judge signed two warrants on the same day. One for Mar-A-Lago, and another that is unrelated.

(25,422 posts)It's another warrant filed by the Southern District of Florida as the same day as Trump's. Courts have numerous cases going on at the same time and file numerous warrants on any given day.
It could be for a random Joe Blow who is selling drugs on the street. No relation to Trump at all.

(33,643 posts)number, and the court is just responding 'hey, dipshits, that's not even your case' in a polite manner.
Seems possible
Edit: oops, request was filed by a newspaper. Anyways ... same principle applies. Could just be they submitted the entirely wrong case number.

(3,524 posts)All it says is that a newspaper requested the judge unseal TWO cases. It says nothing about how they got the number of the second case, why it was also requested, who or what the second case is about, or anything other than the second case is NOT related at all to the first.
I wonder why the newspaper requested the second case be unsealed and how they got that number in the first place.

Looks like Times Union found the second case# using Pacer
It's quite a lengthy blog. I have not had time to digest it all. I am not familiar with the blogger.
I can't attest to the credibility of the site so be cautious - take it with a big grain of salt.
But it looks like he's done a bunch of work looking at it.
There is another seemingly related link discussing it that should be treated similarly

I found them searching via google for the second case#
But again, I do not have time to go through them.
They might have something that sheds light on what is going on ...
