All these calls to violence won't add up to diddly unless enough people actually get out there and do something. Regardless of the repukes totally believing that their followers are morons, I have to believe that enough of them have seen the results of the Jan 6 investigations to realize that they may end up in prison or worse. This is starting to sound like "let's wait and see if anyone else revolts."

The ballyhooed protest at FBI headquarters didn't materialize, and a few others didn't have many participants. And now with a Democratic administration in place, I think many trumpers are realizing that they won't get very far with violence.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

They want the power so they can wield the military and police against their enemies. Hence Trump's recent statements that he wants to take over city police forces if he gets the chance.

He would do everything in his power to bring Götterdämmerung to the Nation. It is who he is.

It may not be the worst thing to bring all of the traitors to Democracy out into the open and deal with them in the only way that they understand and respect. I think that with a Trump indictment, that day will come. That said, if the evidence leads to indictment, we have to choice but to prosecute, and the militias and their fellow travelers be damned. I do not believe that it would rise to the level of a nationwide "Civil War" as some believe, but more like a series of Waco type events, with the same kinds of outcomes. Who speaks of David Koresh any more?

But it goes right back to many of his followers not being the morons he (and other repukes) thinks they are: they know what will happen if they cross the line. As noted above and elsewhere, a lot of these people love the bluster and their weapons but are cowards at heart.
