I have no idea why I was listening to his radio show, but I do remember this rant. May be I was listening to something else making fun of it-- it became legendary in NYC.

1. I've owned five ferrets in my life

Just the other day I was talking about 2003 when Arnold won governor of California. A lot of people forget that there were a lot of other celebrities running - probably more for publicity - like Gary Coleman and porn star Marey Carey, who I said I supported because she was going to get rid of California's ferret ban. Also, Arnold was okay as a second choice because his character in, "Kindergarten Cop," had a pet ferret.

California's ban is based on the belief that they can escape, find other escaped ferrets, and then reproduce and flood the state with wild ferrets, but domesticated ones are pretty helpless in the wild. I think Rudy didn't like them because he believed they were destructive to the insides of buildings.
