I see that the DOJ returned the passports to Trump.

I saw it on one of the MSNBC chryons. I guess they were picked up by mistake in the search.

Chuck Rosenberg said that was not uncommon. But they will usually take passports when it is something like a big drug bust and they may anticipate someone attempting to flee the country.

We probably should delete the thread on the other story, from CBS.

Apparently those associated with positions in government, diplomatic passports, for example (I don’t know if there are other types), are voided once one leaves that position. Wonder if they got TFG’s passports associated with his term as POTUS and voided them before returning them.
