The forever war has been cut back by like 95 percent and Biden has gotten no credit for it

every time I point this out the main reaction is astonishment. both Biden's people and the press are falling down at communicating a real basic fact about the world

for the "terrble way" the withdrawl from AFghanistan occurred, and implying that with the successful targeting of the AQ leader in Afghanistan, demostrates how "unsuccessful" our withdrawl from Afghanistan was.

I am convinced that the so-called journalists today are complete idiots.

There was no "good" way to withdraw from Afghanistan, and staying there indefinitely would accomplish nothing. After twelve plus years, if Afghanistan army could not counter the taliban, then it was doomed to fail. It also failed to recognize that occupying a country with military troops was NOT the best way to fight terrorisim.

They want to blame Biden, but conveniently forget that it was trump who setup the withdrawal of all Americans from Afghanistan.

Some of them hyped how bad Afghanistan is today: the poverty, the malnutrition, the loss of education for girls and freedom for women even to go outside the home without a male relative as escort.

Yes, those things are horrible, and I feel sorry for Afghans who do not support the Taliban, but it’s what happens when a country is allowed to be ruled by religion. People in the US should be put on notice as our own religious extremists try to run roughshod over rights with the help of the Supreme Court.

How about just promoting the things you believe are important?

Better yet, promote some of the things Dems are doing to get their messages out.

...republicans own and dominate the editorial decisions of the majors.

That's the challenge, really not just some Democratic failing - which makes it all the more imperative that supporters are just as prolific and responsible in our own public messaging.

I really don't get concluding that because the media aren't promoting Dems enough, it therefore means Dems suck at messaging.

WE have to do it.

WE have to push it.

WE have to share it.

WE have to promote it.

WE have to get the talking points out - and SPREAD ‘em!

The news biz won’t. So WE MUST!

BE YOUR OWN NEWS CENTER!

BE the one who always keeps track and reads farther down than the headline, finds the truth, and shares what we learn.

WE are the ones who don’t have owners to heed or corporations to cow to or orders to follow or advertisers to be beholden to. And we DON’T have to do anything someone else’s way, especially when it’s counterproductive or antisocial or selfishly short-sighted.

A female character friend of theirs as they attempted to launch a music career memorably observed: “it doesn’t mean dick if they don’t promote you.”

And THERE’S the bottom line: PROMOTION!!!

GOT TO promote it. GOT TO! Nobody’s gonna know (or care) if they don’t know what good thing(s) you did! Nobody out there is a mind-reader to know what good thing(s) you did. You gotta tell ‘em!

We ALL have to be promoters here! And not just casual promoters. RELENTLESS promoters.

Especially with the asshole push-back from the media and Pox Noise and all the cheap-ass wannabe Pox Noise copycats. WE have to fight back AND PUSH BACK! As hard and as often as possible!

BE the Truth Squad! And SPREAD the word!

Not only did he not get credit, but the Afghanistan pullout is when the media started sh*tting on him for a living. The first 6 months of his presidency PJB got fair coverage. Once the media saw how much attention and how many clicks they got from their trash Afghanistan coverage, they decided to go all-in on that type of coverage. After that it was:

YOU WON'T GET YOUR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS ON TIME
SUPPLY CHAIN PROBLEMS
INFLATION
GAS PRICES
MILK PRICES
INFLATION
MILK PRICES
GAS PRICES
BABY FORMULA SHORTAGE
RECESSION
GAS PRICES

Of course when things trend in the wrong direction, TONS of doomsday coverage ("Let's go live to Stark Phillips standing outside the most expensive gas station in the country&quot . Never any coverage of things going in the right direction (vaccines in arms, life going back to post-Covid normal for most people, falling gas prices, legistlation passed, problems fixed).

I don't know how many times I have to say this but I will continue to shout it from the rooftops: THE PROPAGANDA IS THE PROBLEM!!! We cannot have a stable country until we properly address how bad and out of control the right wing propaganda machine is. They will do anything to bury Biden and cement Trump as a god. It's completely maddening and infuriating.
