What I don't get about bothsiderism...

Facts are not negotiable. Facts are facts. So, if you apply the same facts to the Democratic side, as you do to the standard Republican projectionist effort, wouldn't you end up with good material for the comedy hour?

Wouldn't it be obvious that Republicans are trying to confuse the viewers by using a media that never looks deeper than reporting their comments verbatim?

I was surprised (and not in a good way) to discover that at least half of the youtube page is covered with "shorts". It's also too easy to zero in on certain words or ideas and completely ignore surrounding context.

4. The Republican party is the pro slavery party since 1776

The media needs to start speaking about them in terms of them wanting to take us back to 1776.
They have established themselves as the pro slavery party since 1965. When all the Dixie crats left the Democratic Party and ran over to this pro slavery party and stayed there. Because they were angry black women finally got the right to vote in this country.

And now black women are the largest voting block in the United States 98% of black women vote democratic 92% of black man vote Democrat. We are the most powerful voting block in the United States. So who do you think the republicans hate the most and would love to subjugate again?

I'll give you a hint psst psst... Black people 🤷🏾‍♀️
And all those who sighed with us the 81 million of us that spoke in one voice, "get the fuck out Donald Trump"

The Republican party has become unhinged, comma because of their hate of black people.
And because of their hate of women even though 53% of white women vote for them consistently.
If those white women didn't support the pro-slavery men, there would be no Republican party.

The best we can hope for is that some small percentage of those 53% of white women. Realize, that old white men shouldn't be deciding what happens to their vaginas.

At any rate, the Republican party can no longer overcome the majority of us in national elections.

They were able to steal our election from us in 2000 when the majority was only 532 votes

They were even able to steal it in 2016 when the majority of us was 3 million votes

But look what happened in 2020, Their vote deficit is now 7 million votes

And as long as we don't fall for their lives, and they're bullshit, By 2024 I predict their vote deficit will be 10 million votes.

The Republican party is dying, And as long as we understand that and don't let them make us forget it. We can kill them Off in the next 2 elections and render them impotent for decades.

As long as we don't screw this up

5. it's pretty simple. the media on the whole has a marked right-wing bias

some of it is obviously because the owners are mostly rich republicans, or at least people sympathetic to republican support of big businesses and lower taxes on the rich.

some of it is because the real revenue stream for the media comes from advertising, which again is under the control of mostly rich republicans. so even if a news outlet wanted to be genuinely objective, they are under pressure to appeal to advertisers, not just viewers.

but also, some of it is because republicans have been "working the ref" for decades with accusations of "liberal media bias" that have become increasingly ridiculous. back before the world wide web, they used to get a handful of people to repeatedly send faxes to radio stations and newspapers and such to make it look like there were massive amounts of people on the right-wing side of any particular poll. they would clog up the fax machines until they had to turn them off.

the right wing has a long history of exaggerating their numbers. it didn't start with donnie lying about crowd sizes.

so, even media outlets trying to be objective gradually got pushed into catering to the right wing to avoid that criticism.

by now, the only "facts" the media is truly concerned with is whether or not someone said it. by today's journalistic standard, if 'x' is a lie, but 'right-wing politician said 'x'" is true, then that's good enough for them to run with that story, even if 'x' may be harmful to americans or patently false or obvious propaganda.

spend a day on any major news outlet and you'll see there are many stories where they present "both sides", and a fair number where they only present the right-wing side, but hardly any where they only present the democratic side.

once news outlets abandon any journalistic responsibility to report the truth, the truth then appears to be merely a partisan viewpoint of democrats. we *cannot* win when the media refuses to say, hey, you know, the democrats are telling the truth here.

because it amounts to the media outlets joining in on the propaganda of the right wing. for most news outlets, it's not as blatant as foxnews, but it's there regardless. even when a program with a lefty host is refuting a right-wing talking point, they're still helping the right wing by propagating the right-wing accusation.

it's infuriating. actual journalism needs to make a comeback. this means making editorial decisions that republicans won't like. tough. they get way more airtime than they deserve, and americans are exposed to their crap way more than we deserve.
