COLUMBUS, Ohio Frustrated by what it calls 'stonewalling' tactics from Gov. Mike DeWine, the Ohio Democratic Party announced that it has filed a lawsuit seeking redacted records from the governor's office regarding the FirstEnergy House Bill 6 bribery scandal.
According to a statement by the party, Democrats in Ohio have been working since October to get "answers to who knew what and when about the FirstEnergy scandal which Ohioans continue to pay $287,000 every single day for."
Details of the $60 million bribery scheme created to give a $1 billion bailout for the state's two FirstEnergy nuclear plants came to light in July 2020 when then-Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder, four associates and a dark money group were indicted on racketeering charges. Householder has pleaded not guilty and awaits trial in federal court.
In January of this year, the Ohio Democratic Party submitted an extensive public records request to the governor's office for documents ranging from communications between DeWine and FirstEnergy executives, to DeWine's daily calendar. Many of the dates and events that DeWine sent back were redacted.

(17,985 posts)Householder and his gang were arrested, but Mike has been exposed after the Chronicle exposed him. He will not debate Nan Whaley,is signing every corrupt bill his little Roman Catholic teachings have drilled in him.

(68,582 posts)And asked them what it was. They refused to tell me. Told me to call the Governor's office so I did...they said they would get back to me so I called Tim Ryan's office and that is how I found out. I refused to pay it and the next month it wasn't there anymore. They have managed to make it that if you leave the Electric Coop, it is nearly impossible to get back on. I was switched without permission and it took some time to fix it.
And our small city in Bedford just dug up all the gas lines and fixed them, put new meters in (which don't work a damn) but they can't do anything about the antiquated water pipes which are causing a real headache for residents. In the fall, I plan to vote against all incumbents except those who opposed these things and wanted to fix the water pipes which date from the early 1900's.

(17,985 posts)DeWine not only signed the bill he was right in the middle of the First Energy bribery and chose those who were supposed to be watchdogs. Good investigative reporting while the lily livered Ohio media are covering for him.

(17,985 posts)Searches for her went way up. Democrats are suing for the texts and info of DeWine involvement. Involvement, my eye, Mike was at the front of encouraging Houselholder to use the bribe money to elect his fellow crooks and DeWine put them in charge, pushed and signed the bill!
Nan and Democrats are exposing them. Mike is so scared he will not negate Nan. He barely won his first term. I thought Kasich was bad, DeWine is corrupt to the bottom of his faux faith.

(68,582 posts)Fetterman. I live in Ohio but near PA and I used to live there so I know the area. I want to get as many Senators as possible. I am home as I have been sick...got Covid and had all sorts of miserable complications...heart, pneumonia, blood clots...but I am getting better! and can do computer work and make calls of course.
I was thinking of starting an Ohio YouTube channel to get women in Ohio to work together in every county in order to take down those who would take away our right to choose. A gerrymander won't help these bastards if enough women vote. What do you think? If it goes well maybe we can take it to all 50 states and teach the GOP bastards a lesson they won't soon forget.

(17,985 posts)The Republican Party rushed in a million. There is one hateful, nasty, lying ad about Nan. That woman was responsible for rebuilding Dayton after they lost 5 GM plants during the Bush recession.
She modernized the water front, built new businesses, Condos, a ball park. She is responsible for revitalizing the whole city, including the many years of neglect where the Wright brothers worked.
We need her so bad to clean up the years of Republican corruption. DeWine and his mob are as corrupt as Trump.
