snip-"Law enforcement across the country rescued more than 200 sex trafficking victims, including 84 children, in a nationwide sweep dubbed "Operation Cross Country," the FBI announced Monday. The youngest victim was 11 years old.
Authorities located 84 victims of child sex trafficking, as well as 37 children that were actively missing during the campaign, the FBI said. Law enforcement officers also located 141 adult victims of human trafficking."

(21,482 posts)Some of the adults could also have been former ICE detainees. A few border guards who were hired without being vetted turned out to have past rape convictions. Politico did a long article on this back in 2019.

(115,721 posts)Or is the FBI that executed a lawful search warrant on a private residence, approved by a judge on the basis of a detailed affidavit explaining why there was probable cause to believe the residence contained evidence of specific crimes, a completely different one?
