A retired cop is probably better off staying retired on their pension. But DeSatan probably likes the idea of authoritarian types teaching kids.

..... teach the young folk in schools. The incarcerated have loads and loads of free time.

10. Really Silly Proposal

Here in Illinois, I'm not qualified to be a teacher & I've got 4 advanced degrees.
And this fool wants to have modestly educated ex-cops to do it in his state.
A much simpler solution to the shortage is raise pay & improve working conditions by leaving them the heck alone!
You know, like free market principles would indicate. I thought Rs were enamored with the free market. Apparently not!
