Is it me or is this SOB basically defending Trump stealing the documents by saying the way he left the White House was chaotic and there was no time to go through them? And that there was nothing nefarious about it.

2. It's an excuse. Not a great one but

I'm sure Trump's departure from the WH was chaotic. He was gone days before Biden's inauguration, after all. But I think the Justice Department probably has a lot more on Trump than mere possession of the documents. So Trump is going to have to find a better excuse than that.

Had he been a decent human being and accepted the fact that he is a LOSER this would be one less issue that wouldn’t be dragging him into ‘10-to-20’ - but he’ll still lose on too many others anyhow…..

5. Yeah, I think they've got the goods on him.

I don't think Garland would have made such a big deal about this if it was just about possession of documents. It probably would have been handled behind the scenes. Trump has gambled all these years, playing games with the authorities and generally winning his bets, but I think he's finally rolled craps this time.
