(82,849 posts)O'Rourke is going to small towns and little counties all over the state. He's getting his name and his face in the local media, he's meeting with people where they live and work and recreate. The guy in the clip and I may not see eye-to-eye on very much, but we want to see things get better. He can see things getting better under a Governor O'Rourke; I can't see things getting any better under another term of the incumbent.

(9,998 posts)If he is re-elected, Im sure he and the Republican legislature will find more ways to torment LGBTQ kids and their parents, while doing absolutely nothing about the very large numbers of citizens in the state without healthcare and refusing to life a finger to make improvements in one of the worst foster care systems in the country, the one known for physical abuse and rape of kids. And the foster care system that will now need to take in all those thousands of unwanted babies.
I have a hard time deciding which Republican politician I despise moat these daysthere are so many candidates.
