(3,860 posts)he knew he really won the election because the attendance at his rallies was larger than Joe Biden's? Beto is wading into alleged "Trump Country" in these smaller, rural Texas towns, and he's outdrawing Abbott, who rarely visits anywhere outside of Austin.

(12,904 posts)Its a nice town. I spent a few days there this past spring. I met some really nice people.
But, youre right
Beto is meeting the people where they live. I think it means a lot to them. The people in attendance are really a diverse group, given that they are in Texas. When I see politicians campaigning in places with lesser cultural diversity, I always look at the crowds to see if there are differences in age or gender that would indicate whether the crowds represent a diverse section of local society.
Beto is drawing rally attendees that are young, and old, men and women, Latino, white, and black. Beto looks very strong right now. Hes gonna win, and his power will come from the people of Texas.

He came to my precinct in 2018. Right to our early voting site! I invited everyone.
He held a rally at a neighborhood park. Hope he comes again in November. The event was a hit!
He went to a bunch of little parks in San Antonio.
