Is it time for Biden to start saying the word Fascism?

What we are seeing from the Republican Party is fascism. Violence, ultra nationalism, authoritarianism, autocracy, forcible suppression of the opposition, removal of books, propaganda. It's all there and it would be wise to start calling it what it is. Fascism, pure evil that destroys everything and everyone.

Is Fascism on the rise? Yes. He undoubtedly would agree if asked in general terms, but he'd likely reference a worldwide issue and not say anything that might incite more violence in this country. He'll call out the actions/behaviors but not use the labels.

That is probably best left to others for right now to call out.

It is a fascist tactic to escalate-or devolve, if you prefer-national debate to sloganeering and name calling. It gets practiced to the point where the names and slogans lose their meaning altogether, as in “liberal” and “conservative.” Leave that to Republicans and similar Soviet-style imitators. We can maintain both our coherency and our self-respect at the same time, unlike the regime Biden just replaced.

We're deep enough into fascism and our media is propagandistic enough that merely labeling it "fascism" isn't nearly enough.

We've had half a decade of the media blandly and briefly reporting trump scandals like sexually assaulting or molesting a couple dozen women and many people go ho-hum and move on.

We're now hearing people in Wyoming openly whining that they don't feel they have enough of a say in government because so many more people live in California and disagree with them. In other words, openly complaining about democracy when they're the ones getting outvoted.

What we need is an *emotional* appeal to why *our* democratic values are what America needs. Mentioning fascism is only helpful to encourage our side to take action and donate, volunteer, and vote.
