McConnell knows he'll never be Majority Leader ever again.
'The Republican brand is diminishing and the only way they'll win is through gerrymandering and rigging the elections against majority rule.

They can't blame the unpopular policy positions leading to the current grim polling data, so they make it about people.

What I read between his low-grade tantrum is: We are so righteous in policy we cannot be beat by the Democrats, only we can beat ourselves-- so watch this."
