Everytime I hear about new types of equipment the U.S. will be providing Ukraine -

I am asking, why didn't Ukraine get this months ago. Where are the MIM-104 batteries outside Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odesa, protecting Ukrainian civilians against Russian terrorist attacks?

Got to get enough out to get a good statistical analysis. It takes time to manufacture and send out.

Ukrainians have always talked about August being the month where things would start to turn in their favour, and it seems that is the case.

Now, don't get me wrong: I'm glad we're providing them w/ weapons, equipment and money.

But for DECADES now, we haven't been investing in our own country because we "can't afford it."

Seems there's always money for war. Eisenhower nailed it.

for the US to support another country, for the first time since WW2 or Korea, it's supporting Ukraine. Perhaps Kosovo too.

Having a country willing/wanting to do the fighting against your old adversary (and doing a fantastic job too) without your own soldiers returning in body bags, is an opportunity that can't be passed up. Even better that it may end up doing severe damage to Russia's military capabilities while potentially mortally wounding Putin's dictatorship.

Should Ukraine get M1A2 Abrams tanks? Should they get F-22s? Should we give them a Seawolf sub or a Nimitz carrier?

I'm totally on board with giving them a metric fuckton of good weaponry, but there are some limits.

Ukraine should've prepared better. Now we're here. Can't look back at that. The fight is on now.
