New Times is a decidedly liberal bi-weekly (iirc) publication that's free all over the PHX valley, in little stands ... has a pretty dedicated following and is pretty influential with a good bit of original reporting. Think a free 60's/70's-era Rolling Stone but on a local scale. They might fairly be called the pub that eventually brought down Arpaio by reporting very regularly on his horrible actions. It's a liberal icon in this area, basically.
