The Rochester couple who allegedly threw a party mocking Juneteenth and local elected officials will hold a press conference Tuesday morning. Local dentist Dr.

Attorney: "I CHALLENGE you, the press, look into their backgrounds. Find ANYTHING they've done in their lives that's racist."

Mary Nicosia: [admits running racist twitter for years, thousands of racist tweets]

Press: "Mr. Attorney, I think we found something!"

No really, not a joke. Here's some of the tweets in question Mary Nicosia admitted were her, seconds after her attorney "challenged" the press to "dig into" their backgrounds and try to find anything racist.

Jerrod Jones, a member of the Rochester Fire Department, claims that his captain made him and three other firefighters attend the party - while on duty. When they got there, Jones says they saw Juneteenth flags with buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken underneath them and photos of some politicians on spikes in the ground. Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of slaves.

He says a female entertainer was also there, seemingly portraying Monroe County Legislator Rachel Barnhart in a sexual manner.

The City of Rochester has completed an investigation into Jones' claims, which led to the retirement of Capt. Jeffrey Krywy. In a statement in the city's report, Krywy admits to taking some firefighters to the party while they were on duty. He says he didn't think anything of the photographs of the politicians and that they were not derogatory. Krywy also says he was given a gift bag, which included a Hennessy bottle and a Juneteenth cup, as well as a candle, tiny hat, and stuffed bear.

Jones has filed a notice of claim against the City of Rochester and the Rochester Fire Department after he said neither took sufficient action.

"Cancel culture” was referenced several times during the news conference.

"It took me 32 years to build my reputation and less than two hours to destroy it,” he said. “Am I perfect? No. But I try to live my life by example."

4. I ended up watching the press conference

and reading about it for about 3 hours. What a mess. the good doctor says he left social media a few years ago because it's a cesspool, but he kinda doesn't get that it's a cesspool because of people like his wife. And they want people to have sympathy for the way this has hurt their livelihoods and social standing, but had no qualms about the ramifications of the vile, racist shit they posted online.
