"Everybody knows----------" Really?

Last edited Wed Aug 24, 2022, 03:13 PM - Edit history (2)

Currently, it seems "everybody knows" that we Democrats will lose the House in the upcoming election and be darned lucky to keep our 50 Senate seats.

Once upon a time, everybody knew there was no chance that Trump would ever live in the White House.

They knew that stealing classified national security documents was a sure way to get "cuffed and stuffed".

They knew that Roe vs. Wade was the well-settled law of the land and a permanent feature of our Constitutionsl law.

And, once, "everybody knew" we would always have a small "d" democratic government.

"Everybody" is sometimes a fool and sometimes a bought-and-paid-for whore.

Do what you gotta do, ok?

And Dems are going to keep the Senate majority and we have a good shot at keeping the House because repubs and the SCOTUS 6 snatched away women's reproductive rights.

But he, just like Bush before him, squatted in the White House and wrote stuff (in his case, with a sharpie) on official president paper. Come this November it's either "By the Skin of Our Teeth" or dark days and lonely nights.

with Molly Jong Fast...as much as I love that pod and Molly, they too seem bent on stating that Dems will surely lose the House in November. It is so annoying. Nobody has that crystal ball.

Dems have been outperforming the makeup of the districts there have been elections in by 9 points! If this holds up through the Mid terms you'd be talking a massive blue wave.

America is a center right country, yet somehow in the past 30 years the republican party has received more popular votes for president just once.

But they will still shovel that crap.
