McConnell made this statement before it was clear what a political killer the abortion issue would be for Republicans. We need to remind him of it. In reality, there's no chance of something like this passing with Susan Collins and Murkowski supporting Roe (not to mention the fillibuster) but that doesn't mean we shouldn't use McConnell's own words against him:
