Democratic Senate candidate Cheri Beasley appears to be well-positioned to possibly flip North Carolina's Republican-held Senate seat blue in the upcoming November 8 midterm election, with multiple recent conservative polls showing her tied or narrowly ahead.

Beasley, a former chief justice of North Carolina's Supreme Court, will face off against GOP Representative Ted Budd, who represents North Carolina's 13th District. The candidates aim to win the seat being vacated by Senator Richard Burr.

While Budd was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, Burr was one of the seven GOP senators to vote to convict Trump at the conclusion of his second impeachment trial for inciting his supporters to attack the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Recent polling data shows Beasley is narrowly favored to flip the GOP-held seat blue in the upcoming election. A new poll released Thursday by the conservative think tank The John Locke Foundation showed a tied race.

Beasley, Ryan, Demings, Barnes, Fetterman—all are looking okay at the moment. I think Georgia has lost its mind to have Hershel Walker even close to Rev. Warnock. Walker is more than a few fries shy of a Happy Meal!

But hey if it works then hallelujah. Even if we get one out of two senators that would be amazing. The last NC senator I think was John Edwards who screwed his own political future pooch. Oh wait, Kay Hagan who sadly died a couple of year ago was a Dem. Too young.

cooked to a turn with biscuits and gravy.

One of the long term principle goals of the John Locke Foundation is to hobble UNC-Chapel Hill, especially the schools of Law and Sociology therein. Some of the most humane and liberal North Carolinians graduated from Chapel Hill. It has been at the center of many a controversy pitting racist NC culture and politics against enlightened liberal arts and the better angels of common sense. The impact on NC culture and politics of UNC Graduates cannot be overstated. Several of them helped lead NC constructively forward out of the Jim Crow past.

Naturally The John Locke Foundation craves revenge.
