But there are clearly exceptions and I hope the Administration will think again about forgiving student loans for the rest of us. I'm lucky. While our household income is too high to qualify for this round of forgiveness, since I work for the Federal Government, I should (emphasize should) be eligible for loan forgiveness in 7 - 8 years. I didn't ask for it, but I'd be a fool not to take advantage of it if it's available.

If you're eligible, please apply before 10/31.....

But I might also point out that if yu are making agreed-uon payments and the loan is sold, you are now stuck with a lender with whom you have not personally assumb=ed any contractual obligation. And the new lender can change the terms to terms you have not contractualy agrred upon with anyone. Sure that's legal. I don't find it ethical. Of course there are a lot of business practices, especially financial business practices, I don't find wethical.
