It is being reported that the office of the White House Counsel knew about it.
This may be surprising to some of us who thought he probably started removing documents after the January 6th attack upon our Capitol.
Now we find that he was removing the secrets long before that?
And the question remains: Why?
Why didn't the White House Counsel report it to the FBI? It appears that the incompetence reached a dangerous level.
Once the truth is known, we will likely discover that he was stealing secrets from his very first day in office.

Stern wrote in the email, "It is also our understanding that roughly two dozen boxes of original presidential records were kept in the Residence of the White House over the course of President Trump's last year in office and have not been transferred to NARA, despite a determination by Pat Cipollone in the final days of the administration that they need to be. I had also raised this concern with Scott in the final weeks."

Through interviews with current and former Trump aides and advisers, Wolff also discovered that Trump had asked that two more televisions be installed in his bedroom (which means there are currently three TVs in his room) and that a lock be added to his door, an act that precipitat[ed] a brief standoff with the secret service, who insisted they have access to the room.

And I proved I was all there, because I got -- I aced it. I aced the test. I took it at Walter Reed Medical Center in front of doctors. And they were very surprised. They said, that's an unbelievable thing. Rarely does anybody do what you just did."

I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job," Trump said, according to The Times. "I faced great pressure because of Russia. That's taken off.
"I'm not under investigation," he added.

(12,313 posts)many knew how f'ed up shithole's tenure in the WH was going to be. He replaced a competent previous administration with corrupt, criminal, greedy SOBs most with no experience and most that didn't care about the USA.
It's beyond me how corporate media was so "surprised". Even they seemed to be surprised by the un-redacted Mueller's report and that Rosenstien and Barr lied. Ya know the Republican party that constantly lie, make up shit, and are greedy and crave complete power.
