Good to take with us anywhere. It hooks up to an iPhone. We also downloaded the siriusXm on the iPhone for more music. It is in the lower price range, so if it gets lost or stolen it's not a budget buster.

Our portable Bose speaker stays at home.

with either one the $$$ you want to spend the better the sound.

If you want good sound, get one that's at least the size of a can of soda. The tiny ones sound terrible with the volume up and I think it's because they can't house speakers with a large enough diaphragm.

As for a brand with good reviews and affordable prices, ANKER is very popular.

We use Bang and Olufson speakers. We mostly use the small Beosound A1 ones, but we do have a larger one as well - the Beolit 20. There is a sound quality difference between the two, as well as a large price difference.

I originally bought some other speaker and it was pathetic. I returned and after more research, decided upon this one. It is plenty loud and a good tone for a portable, IMO.
